According to the latest CDW IT Monitor, federal government IT decision-makers are feeling optimistic about IT budgets, spending and staffing in 2012. The federal IT budget outlook for the next six months jumped 10 percentage points since October to 34 percent.
Additional federal government highlights for the latest CDW IT Monitor include:
- Anticipated procurement for hardware (91 percent) and software (86 percent) both increased in December, up three and two percentage points respectively.
- Despite a decrease in overall government IT solutions spending expectations, federal IT decision-makers’ anticipated spending increased two percentage points to 35 percent.
- Hiring expectations at the federal level increased in December, up two percentage points to 18 percent.
